Jeevodaya Mission Centre, established in 2002, serves the poor and marginalised in Arakere and its surrounding villages.
The mission centre houses a vibrant school nurturing more than 900 students, making it a beacon of education.

Over 150 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), comprising 3,006 members, are part of the rural development programme of the St Thomas Mission Society. These groups meet monthly to discuss relevant issues and support mutual growth.
St Thomas Mission Society has mobilised resources to implement several successful projects in 30 villages around Arakere. These initiatives have yielded remarkable impacts, with beneficiaries sharing inspiring testimonies of their progress and achievements.
24 centres were conducted, benefiting approximately 780 students.
Village animators organised 176 SHGs involving 3,006 women from 30 villages, meeting monthly to discuss pressing issues.
Two 6-month computer training programmes were conducted in Kalenahalli village over the last two years, benefiting 30 young girls.
Eight villages hosted 3-month tailoring and embroidery training courses, training 120 women.
Around 105 women were trained in beauty therapy. Many of them are now self-employed in their villages or employed elsewhere.
